Escape route near royal harem found at Bidar Fort

The deceptive looking escape tunnel found during the excavation near the royal harem in Bidar Fort in Bidar City. The excavations in some portions of the sprawling 15th Century Bidar Fort constructed by Sultan Ahmed Shah of the Bahamani Dynasty has further strengthened the belief of historians that the fort had many tunnels and escape routes for the royals.

Templar crucifixion nail a fantasy, says Madeiran archaeologist Archaeologist Elvio Sousa of the Center for the Study of Modern and Contemporary Archeology (CEAM) on the Portuguese island of Madeira has released a statement calling the alleged discovery there of three Templar skeletons and a 'crucifixion nail' dating from the Roman era "a fantasy." CEAM conducted archaeological work on the site from 2004 to 2006.

The pyramids form one of the most spectacular sights in Sudan with about fifty small ruinous pyramids   the tombs of the rulers of Kush from about 250 BC to 350 AD. The pyramids lie on the tops of two rocky ridges blanketed by sand dunes about three miles east of the Nile.Archaeologists say the pyramids, cemeteries and ancient palaces of the Nubian Desert in northern Sudan holds mysteries to rival ancient Egypt.

New evidence hints at global glaciation 716.5 million years ago

In this photo from Canada's Yukon Territory, an iron-rich layer of 716.5-million-year-old glacial deposits (maroon in color) is seen atop an older carbonate reef (gray in color) that formed in the tropics.Geologists have found evidence that sea ice extended to the equator 716.5 million years ago, bringing new precision to a "snowball Earth" event long suspected to have taken place around that time.
