Report finds Rezzonico Park ruin was ancient field house

The diversity of potshards and other artifacts found at the Rezzonico Park site demonstrates the large trade network enjoyed by Sinagua. Fragments were identified with pottery styles from Flagstaff, Kayenta, Sunset Crater and the Arizona Strip. Obsidian flakes were also found that came from Government Mountain in the Flagstaff Volcanic Field and the Mount Floyd Volcanic Field near Seligman.A few yards off the backside of the restrooms at Rezzonico Park, there once stood a cluster of three field houses used by the ancient Sinagua while tending farms along the Verde River.
