Giant Shell Crusher Shark Remains Found in Kansas

The estimated jaw length of the Ptychodus mortoni was almost 3 feet long, which suggests the shark was at least 32 feet in length.Paleontologists believe they've identified the remains of an 88.7 million year old enormous shark they suspect terrorized sea animals thanks to a jaw with hundreds of teeth. James Mellaart theorized that Catalhoyuk may have been a matriarchal society, based on the evidence that he turned up many small statues of mother-goddesses. In the May of 1961 British archaeologist James Mellaart rolled up at the foot of a prominent, 15 hectare mound rising an impressive 20 meters above a sun baked, dusty plain. Known to the locals as Catalhoyuk or "Forked Road Mound," it lay just outside the village of Cumra, a short drive from Konya, on Turkey's rolling Anatolia plateau.
