3,000 year old statuary fragments depicting Hapi and Amenhotep III found at funerary temple

The two fragments recently uncovered at the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III in Luxor. On the left is the head of the baboon god, Hapi and on the right are the legs of another red granite statue.Two 3000 year old statuary fragments, depicting the god Hapi and King Amenhotep III, were unearthed in Egypt this week.

Iron Age settlements unearthed in Oman

Archaeologists with the Ministry of Heritage and Culture have unearthed evidence of Iron Age (2000 3000 BC) settlements in Oman during excavation in the Sohar Port area, according to Biubwa Ali Al Sabri, Director of Excavation and Archaeological Studies at the Ministry.
